Application Requirements

The company or regional office hires or offers a work contract to potential employees or completes the contract for internal job rotation.

Government Approval

Recognition Letter Application

Identify potential employees who will participate in the program. Once identified, they apply online to obtain a recognition letter from the Singaporean government.

Indonesian Process

Application for RPTKA

The hiring company submits an online application for foreign worker utilization plan (RPTKA) through the Indonesian Ministry of Manpower, including the recognition letter.

Commencement of Work

Approved applicants can start working in Indonesia once the government issues an e-Visa and a limited stay permit valid for up to one year.

The Tech:X Programme is a visa-facilitation scheme that provides young tech professionals from Singapore and Indonesia the opportunity to work and gain exposure in each other's countries. Successful applicants from Singapore will be able to enter Indonesia and undertake a job stint in an eligible Indonesia-based company for 1 year.

The work pass issued under the Tech:X Programme is valid for 1 year. Companies may choose to extend the employment of successful candidates beyond the programme duration, subject to the relevant immigration and employment regulations.

Applicants must be Singapore citizens or Permanent Residents aged between 21-35 years old, possess relevant qualifications and experience in technology fields, and have secured employment with an eligible Indonesian company participating in the programme.

The application process typically takes 4-6 weeks from submission to approval, depending on document completeness and government processing times. We recommend applying well in advance of your intended start date.
